Job summary

Toyota North America’s TBMNC facility seeks an Engineer I - HEV Battery Production to support mass production engineering for battery manufacturing. You will identify issues on the shop floor, apply data-driven improvements, and drive safety, quality, and cost performance.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll collaborate with production, maintenance, quality and other departments, with opportunities for flexible hours including occasional 2nd shift and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, quality, or project management.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including 2nd shift occasionally.
• Ability to lead cross-functional groups with strong communication and visualization skills.
• Familiarity with production operations and equipment (electrical, mechanical, PLC, robotics).

Responsibilities

• Mass Production Engineering support for Battery Manufacturing.
• Identify and solve problems on the production shop floor.
• Use data-driven analysis to improve safety, quality, productivity, costs.
• Lead changepoint management and innovative engineering activities.
• Manage budget planning and project execution.
