Job summary

Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina (TBMNC) is seeking an Engineer I to support battery production with budget planning and engineering solutions to improve manufacturing indicators. You will partner with production, maintenance, quality and other departments to drive continuous improvement and successful project execution.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, experience in manufacturing settings, and proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, quality, and/or project management experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including 2nd shift (on occasion).
• Ability to lead cross functional groups toward a common goal with strong communication and visualization skills.

Responsibilities

• Mass Production Engineering support for Battery Manufacturing.
• Proactively identify and solve problems on the production shop floor.
• Use data-driven methods to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost; report status to management.
• Lead process and equipment change management and drive engineering activities.
• Establish and manage budget planning and successful project execution.
• Drive action through proactive problem solving and continual improvement.
