Job summary

QXO is seeking a field energy auditor to inspect new homes, perform blower door, ventilation and duct leakage tests, and verify program ratings. You will work on site with construction teams, travel locally up to 100% as needed, and ensure accurate reporting of results. Training is provided for motivated candidates.

Ideal candidates have RESNET/HERS certification or related energy testing experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license if operating a vehicle for company purposes.
• RESNET RFI / HERS Rater certification strongly preferred.
• BPI, Building Science or other energy testing experience preferred.
• Training will be provided for teachable candidates with no prior experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare new construction homes for inspection services.
• Conduct blower door testing.
• Conduct ventilation testing.
• Perform duct leakage testing.
• Conduct code–based energy inspections.
• Verify HERS, Energy Star or other program ratings.
• Coordinate with site superintendents on scheduling and test troubleshooting.
• Communicate code and company standards to customers and local officials.
• Conduct infrared scans.
• Log test results and reports in company software.
• Prepare home performance reports.
• Adhere to company communication standards and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
