Job summary

QXO is seeking a HERS Rater / Rating Field Inspector / Home Energy Tester to join our Auburn/Columbus market team. You will perform blower door, ventilation, duct leakage, and infrared testing on new construction homes and prepare performance reports.

You will verify HERS/ Energy Star ratings, coordinate with site superintendents, and document results in our software. Training is provided; travel may be required up to 100%.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license required if operating a vehicle for company duties.
• RESNET RFI / HERS Rater certification strongly preferred.
• Training will be provided by the company for teachable candidates who lack prior experience.
• BPI, Building Science or other energy testing experience or knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct blower door testing.
• Conduct ventilation testing.
• Perform duct leakage testing.
• Conduct code-based energy inspections.
• Verify HERS, Energy Star or other specialized program ratings.
• Prepare home performance reports.
• Work with site superintendents on job scheduling and test troubleshooting.
• Communicate code and company standards to customers and local officials.
• Conduct infrared scans.
• Log test results and other vital information in company software.
