Job summary

ARCXIS is seeking a Field Inspector to perform HERS and ENERGY STAR verifications on new homes across assigned sites. You will test, document, and report compliance while coordinating with field staff and superintendents.

Daily travel to multiple job sites is required, with ongoing communication, accurate reporting, and adherence to safety and quality standards. A strong construction background and valid driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or AA Degree.
• 2 years of construction experience or 1 year of field experience with related degree.
• HERS-Rater Certification preferred or obtained within 3 months.
• ENERGY STAR for Homes preferred.
• Photovoltaic Inspector Certification preferred.
• OSHA 10-Hour Certification preferred.
• HVAC installation or technical experience preferred.
• Self-motivated, detail oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Experience with LEED/Build-it-Green/Energy Star preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; willing to drive 80–120 miles/day; auto allowance provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections and HERS compliance tests.
• Travel daily to multiple job sites.
• Complete daily inspection reports of inspections.
• Communicate inefficiencies to superintendents and educate trades on correction items.
• Maintain GPS driving mileage log and real-time tracking.
