This role requires initiative, the ability to manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines, and the capability to work effectively in different settings (lab, office, field). Basics of engineering (e.g., chemical, environmental, and biological engineering) is required in addition to setting up experiments (e.g., lab and pilot plant), collecting data through lab sampling, analyzing it and providing recommendations. This position will report to a Project, Senior, or Principal Engineer.Essential FunctionsResearch relevant technology.Design experimental testing in the lab/pilot plant.Operate lab/pilot plant equipment (i.eg., pumps, flow meters, reactor vessels etc.).Collect and analyze data.Make recommendations on the conclusions.Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.Education QualificationsRequired High School or EquivalentPreferred Bachelor's Degree : Current Sophomore or Junior studying chemical engineering, biological engineering, environmental engineering, or related field.Experience QualificationsRequired 1+ years Lab experience.Skills and AbilitiesCompleted Engineering (minimum Engineering 101) as well as other 100 level Statestics and Chemistry classes.Strong problem solving skills.Experience with mass balance (preferred).Excel and other Microsoft business products (required).Working Conditions/Physical DemandsWork is primarily performed in a laboratory setting, with occasional tasks in office or field environments.Must adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as lab coats, gloves, and safety goggles.Mobility: Frequent standing, walking, and moving around the lab.
