Job summary

Myadlm at Martinsburg VA Medical Center seeks a Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide comprehensive patient care within the Medical Service. The role covers evaluation, treatment, supervision, teaching, and collaboration with the medical staff per Joint Commission standards.

The physician will participate in clinical rounds, patient consultations, and education of residents and students while upholding VA policies and delivering high-quality care in a federal healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from a school approved for VA use
• Residency in Hematology/Oncology; board eligible/certified as required by VA policy
• Current, full, unrestricted medical licensure in the United States
• Eligible for VA appointment per published standards

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive hematology/oncology care for patients at the Martinsburg VAMC
• Supervise and teach medical residents and students
• Perform exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and coordinate care with the care team
• Engage in consultations, rounds, and patient education
• Ensure documentation and adherence to Joint Commission standards
