Job summary

MedStar Health in Baltimore, MD, seeks an experienced RN in hematology/oncology to assess plans, implement care, and evaluate patient progress from admission to discharge. You will coordinate with the family and interdisciplinary team to ensure evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include leading care delivery, promoting safety, and supporting discharge planning while adhering to policy and best-practice standards. Oncology certification and CPR/BLS are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program required.
• BSN from an accredited program preferred; ADN holders must enroll in BSN within 12 months and complete within 4 years.
• 1-2 years RN experience required.
• Current RN license in-state or compact, CPR/BLS certification, and ONS/ONCC chemo/biotherapy certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess plans, implement and evaluate nursing care from admission through discharge.
• Collaborate with patient and family and coordinate care with interdisciplinary team.
• Lead and participate in quality and safety initiatives and discharge planning.
