Job summary

Maryland Oncology Hematology is seeking an experienced Infusion RN to join our team in providing advanced cancer care across Maryland and DC locations. You will collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate patient treatment plans, ensuring safety and quality at every step.

The role requires a BSN preferred, active RN license, BLS certification, and 3–5 years of nursing experience with oncology exposure.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
• RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 3-5 years nursing experience including at least one year in oncology preferred.
• Oncology certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care.
• Assess health status by interviewing patient regarding current status and medical history.
• Collects and records nursing assessment and interventions.
• Reviews and reports health status assessment and labs to the provider.
• Assesses patient/family needs and provides teaching and other instructional material.
• Provides psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Prepares and administers therapies under physician supervision.
• Administers medications/blood products with correct dosing and route.
• Facilitates dose modifications and communicates with physician as needed.
