Qualifications

• Must be sensitive to under-represented minority populations.
• Graduate of an accredited medical school.
• Completed Hematology and Medical Oncology specialty training.
• ABIM diplomate or eligible.
• Hematology board diplomate or eligible.
• Medical license in Illinois or eligibility before employment.
• Experience serving multicultural populations.

Responsibilities

• Assume other divisional and departmental administrative responsibilities as directed by the Division Chief.
• Teach, mentor, and supervise students, residents, and fellows during inpatient and outpatient consultations and follow-up visits.
• Prepare and deliver lectures, seminars, conferences, and rounds for learners in the Hematology/Oncology elective and other academic learners.
• Provide periodic seminars and educational sessions for the division.
• Prepare conferences for the Department of Internal Medicine.
• Staff inpatient and outpatient consultations with faculty, house staff, and community physicians; focus on all malignancies and malignant and benign hematology.
