The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. seeks an Advanced Practice Professional (APP) in West Virginia to provide hematology/oncology care in the infusion center and ambulatory settings.

The role includes rounds, pre‑ and post‑procedure evaluations, order entry, discharge planning, and education for patients, families, and learners.

Requires NP or PA credentials with WV licensure, BLS, and haem/onc experience; strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as an RN and APRN in West Virginia.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required with ACLS at department discretion.
• Hematology/Oncology experience preferred; new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive and individualized care for hem/onc patients in infusion center and ambulatory setting.
• Completes daily rounds; participates in ambulatory clinics and inpatient care as applicable.
• Performs comprehensive clinical evaluations and documents findings.
• Orders tests/consults per guidelines; communicates results to care team.
• Facilitates discharge planning and follow-up; advises patients and families.
