Job summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) at Vanderbilt Health delivers specialized care in Benign Hematology, including Sickle Cell, across inpatient and ambulatory settings. The role collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to perform comprehensive examinations, order tests, and develop treatment plans.

Two days weekly in Villages at Vanderbilt Benign Hematology and two days in the Sickle Cell clinic at The Vanderbilt Clinic, with a Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm schedule and no call.

Qualifications

• Hematology experience preferred.
• Experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) preferred.
• Licensed as NP or PA with relevant certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document health histories; perform physical examinations and develop plans of care.
• Collaborate with teams to manage primary, acute, and complex care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and develop differential diagnoses.
• Provide specialty consultation within scope of practice and refer as needed.
• Facilitate patient transitions across care settings and participate in care coordination.
