Job summary

UNC Health Care seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to join the MultiMyeloma Program in Chapel Hill. The APP will contribute to care for patients with hodgkin lymphoma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and CLL in outpatient clinics and perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures.

The role includes education, leadership in clinical settings, and participation in quality improvement, aligned with UNC Health’s mission and policies.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider in North Carolina (APRN/PA).
• Board certification if required by the Department; DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Clinical: obtain history, perform examinations, develop differential diagnoses, and implement treatment plans with evidence-based pharmacology.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment, and follow-up; collaborate with clinicians and staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Leadership: provide instruction to clinicians, housestaff, and students; participate in community outreach and process improvements.
• Professional: communicate respectfully with patients and colleagues; manage workload and ensure timely patient care.
• Quality/Research: engage in continuous quality improvement; contribute to protocol development and care delivery improvements.
