Job summary

UNC Health in Cary, NC is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Hematology Oncology team and collaborate with physicians and staff to deliver high-quality, cost-effective patient care within approved privileges.

The APP will perform comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, educate patients, and participate in quality improvement initiatives while adhering to organization policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited graduate-level APRN or PA program.
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider in North Carolina (NP/PA/CRNA etc).
• Board certification if required by the department; DEA.
• Demonstrated clinical competency.
• Effective leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and perform physical assessments; develop differential diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Prescribe/order evidence-based pharmacologic therapies per guidelines and privileging.
• Educate patients and families; collaborate with clinicians and staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Lead or participate in system improvements and quality initiatives.
• Document thoroughly in medical records to support care and billing.
