Job summary

UNC Health Nash Cancer Center in Rocky Mount, NC is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join the Hematology & Oncology team. Join a multidisciplinary, outpatient-focused practice dedicated to delivering patient-centered cancer care with collaborative colleagues.

The APP will evaluate and manage hematology/oncology patients, perform pre-infusion assessments, and contribute to quality improvement while maintaining thorough documentation in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current North Carolina NP or PA license or eligibility for licensure.
• Board certification may be required by the Department.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage outpatient hematology and oncology patients in a clinic setting.
• Conduct follow-up visits and disease management for patients receiving cancer treatment.
• Perform pre-infusion evaluations for chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology treatments.
• Review labs, imaging, and treatment plans to support continuity of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse navigators, and infusion staff within the oncology team.
• Maintain timely medical documentation in the EMR and participate in quality initiatives.
