Job summary
Michigan Medicine is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Rogel Cancer Center in a comprehensive hematology program. In this role, you will directly care for patients in the outpatient setting, perform histories and physicals, develop diagnoses, and collaborate with physicians to plan care and referrals.
You will also participate in clinical research and CME activities. Required credentials include Michigan RN licensure, NP/PA certification, DEA, BLS, and hematology
Qualifications
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Michigan.
- Specialty certification to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Michigan (Adult-Gerontology Acute Care/Primary Care NP, Adult NP, FNP or Acute NP).
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- NCSBN-recognized NP certification.
- Current DEA registration.
- AHA Approved BLS.
- 2 years of APP experience.
- Clinical experience in hematology.
Responsibilities
- Manage a variety of hematology conditions in outpatient settings.
- Provide direct care, history, physicals, diagnoses, and care plans.
- Identify patients eligible for clinical trials and educate patients/families.
