Job summary

The Cancer & Hematology Centers in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider - Outpatient (Days) to join our oncology support team. The role focuses on comprehensive medical management for patients with malignant hematology conditions, operating 8:00am–6:00pm, four 10-hour shifts per week.

Weekend and holiday coverage are required on a rotating basis. Prerequisites include NP or PA licensure, current BLS, and hematology/oncology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified and licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Holds current BLS card for Health Professionals.
• Hematology/Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains comprehensive histories and physical examinations reflecting the acuity and presenting complaint.
• Coordinates and delivers comprehensive medical care following treatment protocols and pathways.
• Writes orders/medications to support the care plan and interprets labs and imaging as needed.
• Collaborates with support staff to optimize patient care outcomes and serves as a resource.
• Communicates with supervising physicians for continuity of care and outcomes.
• Performs other tasks within scope of practice as assigned.
