University of Michigan, Rogel Cancer Center in Ann Arbor, seeks an Advanced Practice Professional (NP or PA) for hematology care. The 1.0 FTE position supports outpatient management, clinical research participation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Michigan (for NP)
• Current specialty certification to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Michigan (Adult-Gerontology Acute Care, Primary Care NP, Adult NP, or Acute NP)
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner recognized by NCSBN
• Current DEA registration
• AHA Approved BLS
• 2 years of APP experience
• Clinical experience in hematology
• Satisfactory completion of an ARC-PA/CAAHEP/CAHEA-accredited PA program
• Certification by NCCPA
• Current Michigan Physician Assistant license
• Michigan Controlled Substance License Required
• AHA Approved BLS
• 2 years of APP experience
• Clinical experience in hematology

Responsibilities

• Management of a variety of hematology conditions
• Direct care and management of patients in outpatient setting including history-taking, evaluation, and plan development
• Management of treatment-related toxicities
• Symptom management and palliative care
• Review of lab, pathology, and radiographic results
• Perform bone marrow biopsies
• Participation in clinical research
• Collaborate with Cancer Center and other APPs
• Participation in CME and meetings
