Job summary

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF NORTHEAST IOWA, INC. Waterloo, Iowa, is seeking a Help Desk Specialist to provide responsive IT support for end users, manage account creation in Active Directory and Exchange, and maintain security and hardware inventory across the organization.

You will troubleshoot a range of issues and deliver friendly, professional service. This role requires strong communication, reliability, and a willingness to work nontraditional hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in end-user PC hardware/software support.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Provides end-user support via phone, email, and in-person for laptop and desktop PC users.
• Creates and manages user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
• Diagnoses and resolves PC hardware, OS, software, printing issues.
• Installs and tests computer equipment including desktops, laptops, monitors, memory, etc.
• Provides conference room support and AV troubleshooting.
• Supports on-site and remote users and new hire IT setup.
