Description:
This team provides live support by actively handling inbound calls, emails, and chats from internal eBay employees. The primary goal is to deliver exceptional customer service while troubleshooting technical issues, often through remote login to the user's machine.
If unable to resolve an issue, team members can escalate to Level 2 support after identifying the problem. The environment is predominantly Windows-based, especially in Salt Lake, with approximately 60% Windows support and 40% Mac support. Candidates should have knowledge of Windows 7 or higher, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and strong troubleshooting skills. Excellent customer service skills are essential to create a welcoming experience for end users.
While technical skills are important, customer service is prioritized. The team will need to learn various proprietary applications, with training provided for unfamiliar tools.
Candidates should have about one year of technology support experience and a passion for tackling new challenges. Experience with Mac devices, tablets, and mobile devices is a plus. Candidates with less experience or relevant education will also be considered.
