Job summary

TEKsystems in Battle Ground, WA is seeking a contract IT Support Technician to provide hands-on and remote end-user support in a fast-paced enterprise environment. You will be the primary contact for IT incidents, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues while delivering excellent customer service.

The role emphasizes Windows desktop support, imaging and deployment, asset management, and collaboration with IT teams on major hardware refresh and migration projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or 3–5 years IT support experience.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple support requests.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies in a constantly evolving IT environment.
  • Experience supporting Windows desktop environments and enterprise applications.
  • Experience with imaging and deployment processes.
  • Knowledge of hardware and software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with ticketing systems and IT service management processes.
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based support environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide desktop, application, and technical support for end users via desk-side, remote, and phone support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones, handheld devices, and network connectivity.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT incidents, ensuring timely resolution or escalation when necessary.
  • Support hardware and software deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives.
  • Perform desktop and laptop imaging, configuration, and deployment activities.
  • Manage and track IT assets, including inventory, deployments, and device lifecycle activities.
  • Coordinate issue resolution with internal IT teams while acting as the primary communication point for end users.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ticket updates within the organization’s incident management system.
  • Follow established IT service management processes, security policies, and operational procedures.
  • Assist with additional IT support projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Overview

We are seeking a customer-focused IT Support Technician to provide hands‑on and remote technical support for end users across a fast‑paced enterprise environment. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for IT‑related issues, delivering exceptional customer service while troubleshooting hardware, software, network, mobile device, and application support requests.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for helping users resolve technical challenges efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide desktop, application, and technical support for end users via desk‑side, remote, and phone support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones, handheld devices, and network connectivity.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, OR an Associate’s degree with 3‑5 years of relevant IT support experience.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage multiple support requests.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies in a constantly evolving IT environment.
  • Experience supporting Windows desktop environments and enterprise applications.
  • Experience with desktop/laptop imaging and deployment processes.
  • Knowledge of hardware and software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with ticketing systems and IT service management processes.
  • Familiarity with ITIL‑based support environments preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticket management platforms.
  • Experience supporting enterprise mobility solutions and iPhone devices.
  • Knowledge of virtual desktop and remote support technologies.
  • Previous experience participating in large‑scale hardware refresh or migration projects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Battle Ground, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
