Job summary

Arkansas Children’s is seeking an experienced aviation mechanic to maintain, repair, troubleshoot and document airframe and engine systems in accordance with FAA regulations. The role supports the Angel One Aviation department on the Little Rock campus.

Qualified candidates will hold an A&P license, have at least 6 years of transport aircraft experience, and possess an Associate degree or equivalent experience. This is a full-time on-site position with a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Airframe and Powerplant license (FAA) required.
• 6 years of experience in transport aircraft maintenance.
• Maintains inspections, repairs and documentation per manufacturer manuals and FAA procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections, repairs and component changes per manuals and FAA procedures.
• Maintains maintenance records, forms and log books.
• Manage AC aviation fuel farm and ensure fuel quality per policy.
• Assist in cleaning aircraft and hangar.
• Inform Maintenance Center and supervisor of unscheduled maintenance.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with the Director of Maintenance.
• Collaborate with manufacturers, vendors, repair facilities and the FAA.
• Prioritize safety in all aviation operations.
• Assist in ordering and stocking aircraft parts and tooling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

1. Performs all inspections, repairs and component changes ensuring all are accomplished in accordance with manufacturers' maintenance manuals, and/or FAA approved procedures.

2. Maintains all necessary work records, maintenance forms and log books.

3. Responsible to maintain the AC aviation fuel farm. Accepts fuel per AC policy from fuel vendor and ensures fuel quality.

4. Assists in cleaning aircraft and hangar.

5. Informs Angel One Communications Center and supervisor in the event of unscheduled maintenance.

6. Plans and coordinates maintenance activities with the Director of Maintenance.

7. Works with manufacturer’s representatives, parts vendors, repair facilities and the FAA.

8. Places safety as the top priority for aviation operations.

9. Assists Director of Maintenance in ordering and maintaining aircraft parts inventory and vendor tooling.

10. Performs other duties as assigned.
