Job summary

WellMed, part of UnitedHealth Group's Optum family, seeks a Quality Manager to drive consistency in HEDIS/Star program implementation for its Texas market. You will lead Quality Coordinators and clinical quality staff, shaping action plans and cross-functional collaboration to improve care quality for seniors.

The role requires strategic planning, coding knowledge (ICD10/CPT), and strong data analysis to identify root causes and remove barriers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Quality/HEDIS/CMS Stars experience with ICD-10/CPT knowledge.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% across Texas.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Coordinators and CQC staff to drive HEDIS/Star results.
• Develop and coach staff through hiring, training and evaluation.
• Monitor work progress, budgets, and expenses for quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with Medical Director, Market Operations and others to improve quality operations.
• Analyze data with stakeholders to identify root causes and required actions.
• Communicate provider needs to internal teams to achieve Star goals.
