Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Associate to support hedge fund regulatory reporting and compliance operations. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and executing a range of regulatory reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions, including SEC Form PF, CFTC Form CPO-PQR, EU Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) reporting, and OPERA reporting.

The role will work closely with internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure regulatory filings are accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable requirements. In addition to core reporting responsibilities, the Senior Associate will contribute to management reporting, regulatory research, client communications, presentations, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory Reporting: Prepare, review, and coordinate regulatory filings, including SEC Form PF, CFTC Form CPO-PQR, AIFMD reporting, and OPERA reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to filing deadlines.
• Data Collection and Analysis: Gather, reconcile, and analyze fund-level and investment-related data from various sources to support regulatory reporting requirements.
• Regulatory Compliance: Monitor regulatory developments and assess their potential impact on hedge fund reporting obligations, processes, and procedures.
• Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to obtain required information, resolve data discrepancies, address reporting inquiries, and coordinate filing deliverables.
• Management Reporting: Assist with the preparation of internal management reports, analyses, and other materials to support business and operational objectives.
• Research and Presentations: Conduct regulatory research and prepare presentations, summaries, and other materials on reporting requirements, regulatory developments, and industry trends.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance reporting workflows, strengthen internal controls, and improve the accuracy and efficiency of regulatory reporting processes.
• Special Projects: Support ad hoc projects and initiatives related to regulatory compliance, operational enhancements, and broader business needs.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure reporting requirements are understood, information is obtained efficiently, and deliverables are completed on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Approximately 2–6 years of relevant experience in hedge fund operations, regulatory reporting, fund administration, compliance, or a related financial services function.
• Working knowledge of hedge fund regulatory reporting requirements, particularly SEC Form PF, CFTC Form CPO-PQR, AIFMD, and/or OPERA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to work with large datasets and complex financial information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict regulatory deadlines.
• A proactive mindset, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting regulatory reporting for hedge funds, alternative investment managers, or other investment management firms.
• Familiarity with fund structures, investment strategies, portfolio data, and financial reporting.
• Experience with regulatory reporting systems, data management tools, or reporting automation.
• Knowledge of evolving SEC, CFTC, and international regulatory requirements affecting alternative investment managers.
