Job summary

Graybar Electric Company is seeking a Heavy Warehouse Material Handler in Charlotte, NC to receive, store, pick, pack and ship inventory using a Warehouse Management System. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy and efficiency in a team environment with a 10:00am–7:00pm shift, Monday–Friday.

You will operate pallet jacks and forklifts, conduct cycle counts, and ensure orders are prepared to specification for UPS and non-UPS shipments. Steel-toed boots are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical requirements to receive, pick, pack, ship, and move materials up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks, forklifts, push carts and other large warehouse machinery safely.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions and to wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Lift and move inventory around the warehouse.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely per manufacturers' instructions.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse and perform daily safety inspections.
• Cut wire and cable accurately using machinery.
• Fill product orders according to type, length, and size.
• Receive incoming material and store per WMS processes.
• Pack and ship UPS orders following WMS procedures.
• Process non-UPS orders and prep for transport.
• Prepare replenishment shipments and label pallets.
• Handle stock tickets and perform cycle counts.
• Verify bin locations and consolidate inventory as needed.
