We are seeking a skilled Heavy Truck/Trailer Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing Heavy Trucks and Trailers to ensure they are in safe and working condition. This hands-on position requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with power tools. You will work in a newly remodeled 23,000 square foot shop, with some onsite construction repairs possibly needed. This is a year-round position with overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trucks and trailers
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including electrical, hydraulics, suspension, brake, and air systems
• Perform wiring diagnostics on trucks and trailers
• Utilize vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign repairs
• Respond to emergency breakdowns with service calls
• Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services
• Collaborate with the Shop Foreman to maintain a safe and efficient shop environment, including general upkeep and maintenance duties
