Job summary

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in Heavy Steel Industry/Fabrication Estimating and Project Management.
• Knowledge of fabrication/welding standards and procedures.
• Familiarity with AISC standards and AWS codes.
• Proficiency with MS Project and MRP systems.
• Ability to read blueprints effectively.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans and specifications in detail.
• Generate detailed materials/weld takeoffs from drawings.
• Author timely bid proposals and coordinate with suppliers.
• Administer project turnover meetings with PM staff.
• Prepare shop drawings and purchase orders for materials and subcontracted services.
• Perform monthly progress estimates and budget analysis.
• Manage project risk and ensure compliance with plans.
