Job summary

TEEMS FABRICATION INC is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Estimator for metal fabrication. You will manage from inquiry and estimating through production, delivery, and completion, coordinating with engineering, purchasing, and production.

The ideal candidate understands welding, materials, and job costing, and can develop accurate, competitive quotes while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Experience estimating metal fabrication, weldments, and assemblies.
• Strong math/analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication with customers and internal departments.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, drawings, specs, and scope of work.
• Develop accurate estimates for fabricated components and assemblies.
• Determine material, labor, welding, machining, and other costs.
• Obtain and evaluate material and subcontractor pricing.
• Collaborate with engineering and production on manufacturing approach.
• Identify fabrication, machining, material, and quality issues early.
• Prepare and submit professional quotations.
• Manage awarded projects from order to completion.
• Establish schedules and coordinate with production, purchasing, engineering, and QA.
• Monitor costs, labor, materials, and schedule performance.
• Communicate project status, changes, and delivery with customers.
• Manage change orders and communicate financial/schedule impact.
• Track projects to stay on schedule and within budget.
• Assist with production issues affecting cost or quality.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and costing.
