Job summary

Jesse Co. (fka Jesse Engineering) is seeking a Welder to weld steel parts per shop drawings and DWS quality requirements. The role requires welding of structural, plate, and miscellaneous steel assemblies, adhering to weld symbols, procedures, and AISC standards.

Candidate must have 2–3 years of welding experience or a recognized welding certificate/diploma, and maintain AWS certification. The job involves equipment operation and safety-focused practices in a shop environment.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a welder for a steel fabricator or manufacturer, or a 1-year degree or certificate in welding technology from a qualified trade school or college.

Responsibilities

• Weld according to the symbols, procedures, dimensions shown on shop drawings, and AISC code requirements.
• Preheat and/or cut work pieces using a hand torch when required; clean welds of excess weld, splatter or slag.
• Operate forklifts, jib cranes, and overhead cranes to move materials.
• Consistently and reliably work scheduled hours at assigned locations.
