Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform duties with the highest safety standards
• Complete vehicle pre-trip inspections and comply with regulations
• Check and secure loads before leaving each delivery
• Follow delivery schedules and job directives, prioritizing safety
• Accurately complete logs and government paperwork
• Keep the delivery truck clean and organized
• Assist in fabrication shop/warehouse tasks when not driving
• Operate forklift for stocking and loading as needed
• Maintain MO and IL DOT compliance

We are looking for the right individual to fill a full-time Heavy Haul Driver/OTR (Over-the-Road) position at our Regional Office in Hannibal, MO. This person is responsible for transporting, loading, and unloading items at our area operations. The ability to receive and delivery in an efficient and organized way, and speaking with a wide range of individuals is a must. Candidates must be dependable and available to work overtime as needed. Candidates must hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License (minimum Class B) or have the ability to obtain it (and preferred Class A) in a timely manner. The position will also require the ability to perform heavy lifting and rigorous physical activity.

Heavy Haul Driver/OTR (Over-the-Road) Candidate Requirements:

• A focus on safety, including obtaining ability to obtain MSHA Part 46 certification (company will train and reimburse)
• Self-motivated with a solid work ethic
• Ability to maintain a valid Class A-CDL license w/ air brake endorsement, or receive said license immediately after hire.
• Motor vehicle record that meets applicable minimum requirements
• Forklift and/or crane experience or certification a plus, but the company will train the right individual

Major Heavy Haul Driver/OTR (Over-the-Road) responsibilities include:

• Performing all duties at the highest level of safety
• Performing vehicle pre-trip compliance with all federal, state and local regulations
• Completing a thorough load check on your truck before leaving, ensuring that all delivery materials and quantities are accurate and secured
• Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you
• Completing and filing all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner
• Keeping delivery truck clean and organized
• Assisting in fabrication shop/warehouse tasks as needed when not operating the delivery truck
• Operating forklift for stocking, loading and organizing materials in warehouse as needed
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Maintain MO & IL DOT compliance
