Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a Heavy Haul OTR Driver based in Jonesburg, MO to safely load, transport, and unload heavy equipment and machinery to job sites and company locations. The role requires experience with lowboy/RGN trailers, oversized loads, and a solid understanding of DOT regulations.

You will plan routes, perform inspections, maintain logs and permits, and coordinate with dispatch to ensure timely deliveries. A valid Class A CDL and a clean driving record are essential.

Responsibilities

• Transport heavy equipment and machinery between job sites and company locations.
• Safely load, secure, and unload equipment using chains, binders, and tie-down procedures.
• Operate heavy-haul trailers such as lowboy and/or RGN.
• Plan routes based on load dimensions, weight restrictions, permits, and road conditions.
• Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain DOT logs, permits, inspection forms, and transport documentation.
• Monitor axle weights and ensure loads meet legal weight and securement requirements.
• Communicate with dispatch and field crews regarding deliveries and equipment needs.
• Report vehicle or equipment issues and coordinate maintenance as needed.

The Heavy Haul OTR Driver is responsible for safely loading, securing, transporting, and unloading heavy equipment and machinery to job sites and company locations. This position requires experience hauling heavy and oversized loads, strong knowledge of DOT requirements, and safe operation of lowboy/RGN or similar trailers.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport heavy equipment and machinery between job sites and company locations.
• Safely load, secure, and unload equipment using chains, binders, and proper tie-down procedures.
• Operate lowboy, RGN, flatbed, or similar heavy-haul trailers.
• Plan routes based on load dimensions, weight restrictions, permits, and road limitations.
• Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain DOT logs, permits, inspection forms, and transport documentation.
• Monitor axle weights and ensure loads meet legal weight and securement requirements.
• Communicate with dispatch and field crews regarding deliveries, delays, and equipment needs.
• Report vehicle, trailer, or equipment issues and coordinate maintenance as needed.

Required Qualifications
