Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a Full Time Heavy Haul OTR Driver to safely load, transport, and unload heavy equipment to job sites and company locations. This role requires experience hauling heavy and oversized loads, strong knowledge of DOT requirements, and operation of lowboy/RGN trailers.

You will plan routes, perform inspections, maintain DOT logs, and coordinate with dispatch on deliveries and equipment needs. A valid Class A CDL and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Heavy haul/equipment transportation experience required.
• Experience with lowboy and/or RGN trailers.
• Experience transporting oversized and overweight equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, load securement, permits, routing, and axle-weight requirements.
• Ability to safely load and unload heavy construction equipment.
• Acceptable driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Transport heavy equipment and machinery between job sites and company locations.
• Safely load, secure, and unload equipment using chains, binders, and proper tie-down procedures.
• Operate lowboy, RGN, flatbed, or similar heavy-haul trailers.
• Plan routes based on load dimensions, weight restrictions, permits, and road limitations.
• Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain DOT logs, permits, inspection forms, and transport documentation.
• Monitor axle weights and ensure loads meet legal weight and securement requirements.
• Communicate with dispatch and field crews regarding deliveries, delays, and equipment needs.
• Report vehicle, trailer, or equipment issues and coordinate maintenance as needed.
