Job summary

Cleland Site Prep is seeking an experienced Welder to join our team in the Low Country region. You will be responsible for fabrication, assembly, repair, and welding of trucks, heavy equipment, machinery, and related components, with emphasis on safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has a Basic Welding Certification and at least two years of welding experience, with the ability to read safety-related documents and perform in various welding positions.

Qualifications

• Basic Welding Certification required.
• Minimum two (2) years of welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, prepare, cut, grind, and fit materials for welding according to specifications.
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment (manual and semi-automatic welders, grinders, drills, saws, torches).
• Weld components in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Inspect welds and structures for quality and safety; perform repairs and maintenance.
• Follow safety policies and maintain safe work practices.
• Maintain records of labor, parts, and work performed; complete reports and documentation.
• Communicate repair needs and equipment issues to Shop Management.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; operate and care for company tools and vehicles.
