Primary Functions of the Welder:

The Welder is responsible for inspecting, cutting, preparing and welding parts used in heavy construction equipment.

Main Responsibilities and Qualifications of the Welder:

• Able to follow company safety rules and regulations
• Minimum of 2 years prior experience
• Operate angle grinders, drills, saws, cutting torches, etc. to prepare parts
• Weld components using manual and semi-automatic welding equipment
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
• Maintain accurate records of time, parts, and materials
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs. and climb onto equipment (3–4 ft)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Ability to work in varied weather and shop conditions
