Job summary

R-2 Contractors in Prineville, Oregon is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, service, and repair diesel trucks and DOT vehicles. You will perform preventative maintenance and document all repairs to ensure a safe, compliant fleet.

Requirements include 6+ years of diesel experience, DOT knowledge, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and ownership of tools (specialty tools provided). CDL A/B preferred with strong diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

Position: Truck Mechanic

Location: Prineville, Oregon

Pay Range: $33.69 – $51.54 an hour

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team in Prineville, Oregon. As a Truck/Heavy Equipment Mechanic at R-2 Contractors, you will play a crucial role in the upkeep and performance of our on-road fleet. This position involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel trucks and DOT vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair diesel trucks and DOT vehicles
• Conduct preventative maintenance and DOT inspections
• Document all repairs and maintenance using proper work order systems
• Operate shop tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members
