Job summary

R-2 Contractors is seeking an experienced Diesel Truck/Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in AZ (or travel). You will diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel trucks and DOT vehicles to ensure safe operations across our fleet.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of diesel mechanic experience, strong knowledge of DOT regulations, and is capable of lifting up to 100 pounds. Owning your own tools is required; CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of diesel truck heavy equipment mechanic experience.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical labor.
• Must have own tools; specialty tools provided by company.
• CDL Class A or B preferred, or willingness to obtain one.
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair diesel trucks and DOT vehicles.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Document all repairs and maintenance using proper work order systems.
• Operate shop tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

Position: Truck Mechanic
Location: AZ
Pay Range: $33.69 – $51.54 an hour
