Job summary

All Roads Company in Roanoke, VA, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic to diagnose, service, and repair Vermeer and related construction equipment. You will work with hydraulic and electrical systems, perform welding as needed, and contribute to accurate repair estimates.

You must be hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to document work in CDK. This full-time position offers production bonuses, a sign-on bonus up to $5000, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hydraulic and electrical diagnostic capability.
• Previous experience working on heavy equipment or heavy duty trucks.
• Proficient in documenting work in CDK.
• Detail oriented, organized, safety-focused, and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair & recondition Vermeer equipment
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions including hydraulic & electrical
• Welding as needed
• Recognize and recommend repairs to the Service Manager
• Create accurate repair estimates, CDK experience a plus
• Communicate with OEM/factory for technical assistance
• Other duties as assigned

Compensation: $25.00 - $32.00 / hour

Description

Are you a self-starter who enjoys working with diesel engines and problem solving? We are excited to bring on a new addition as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. This role will diagnose, service, and repair Vermeer and related construction equipment. Compensation & Schedule

• $25-$32 per hour (based on experience)
• Production bonuses available
• Sign on bonus up to $5000 for qualified candidates

Key Responsibilities

• Service, repair & recondition Vermeer equipment
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions including hydraulic & electrical experience
• Welding as needed
• Recognize and recommend appropriate repairs to the Service Manager
• Create accurate repair estimates, CDK experience a plus
• Communicate with OEM/factory for technical assistance
• Other duties as assigned
