Job summary

All Roads in Colfax, NC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician Mechanic to diagnose, service, and repair Vermeer and related construction equipment. You will work hands-on with diesel systems, hydraulic and electrical diagnostics, and contribute to keeping our fleet productive.

This full-time position offers a competitive hourly rate with production bonuses and a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing diesel equipment and performing repairs.
• Mechanical background in heavy equipment or heavy trucks.
• Ability to read and document work orders clearly.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair & recondition Vermeer equipment
• Diagnose malfunctions including hydraulic & electrical issues
• Welding as needed
• Create accurate repair estimates; CDK experience a plus
• Communicate with OEM/factory for technical assistance
• Other duties as assigned

Are you a self-starter who enjoys working with diesel equipment and problem solving? We are excited to bring on a new addition as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. This role will diagnose, service, and repair Vermeer and related construction equipment. Compensation & Schedule

• $25-$38 per hour (based on experience)
• Production bonuses available
• Sign on bonus up to $5000 for qualified candidates

Key Responsibilities

• Service, repair & recondition Vermeer equipment
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions including hydraulic & electrical experience
• Welding as needed
• Recognize and recommend appropriate repairs to the Service Manager
• Create accurate repair estimates, CDK experience a plus
• Communicate with OEM/factory for technical assistance
• Other duties as assigned

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hydraulic and electrical diagnostic capability
• Previous experience working on heavy equipment or heavy duty trucks
• Proficient ability to document in CDK
• Detail oriented, organized, safety focused and team player
