Job summary

All Roads in Ashland, VA is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, service, and repair Vermeer and related construction equipment. The role is hands-on and requires strong mechanical aptitude, hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills.

You will document work, create repair estimates, coordinate with OEM for technical support, and participate in training and safety programs. Company offers bonuses, a 401(k), paid time off, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hydraulic and electrical diagnostic capability.
• Previous experience working on heavy equipment or heavy duty trucks.
• Proficient ability to document in CDK.
• Detail oriented, organized, safety focused and team player.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair & recondition Vermeer equipment
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions including hydraulic & electrical experience
• Welding as needed
• Recognize and recommend appropriate repairs to the Service Manager
• Create accurate repair estimates, CDK experience a plus
• Communicate with OEM/factory for technical assistance
• Other duties as assigned

Compensation & Schedule

• $25-$35 per hour (based on experience)
• Production bonuses available
• Sign on bonus up to $5000 for qualified candidates

Key Responsibilities

• Service, repair & recondition Vermeer equipment
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions including hydraulic & electrical experience
