Job summary

All Roads in Garner, NC is seeking a Diesel Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic to diagnose, service, and repair Vermeer equipment in our shop. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude with hydraulic and electrical system experience, plus welding skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of strong mechanical aptitude with hydraulic, electrical and hydrostatic diagnostic capability.
• Welding ability and safe work practices.
• Proficiency with repair documentation; CDK experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and recondition Vermeer equipment as directed by the Branch Service Manager.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions; hydraulic and electrical experience required.
• Recognize and recommend appropriate repairs to the Service Manager.
• Perform effective welding as needed.
• Create accurate repair estimates within work orders.
• Maintain detailed repair records in CDK Global.
• Communicate with OEM/factory for technical assistance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation & Schedule

• $30–$35/hour (based on experience)
• Production bonuses available
• Sign-on bonus up to $5,000 (for qualified candidates)

Requirements

Physical Demands

• Regular talking/hearing; frequent standing, walking, reaching, and hands-on work
• Lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 lbs frequently and 80+ lbs occasionally
