Job summary

GreenWaste Recovery, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Construction Equipment Technician A-C in Gilroy, CA. The role covers preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet, with three progression levels and a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Technicians will work to maintain fleet uptime, document work accurately, and mentor junior staff while following DOT and environmental guidelines in a shop and field environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Trade school or apprenticeship program preferred.
• ASE and CDL certifications are preferred.
• Brake safety certification required.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Heavy Construction Equipment or fleet maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy construction equipment and vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain systems.
• Lead and mentor junior technicians; ensure safety and documentation standards.
• Ensure accurate work orders and warranty opportunity identification.
• Support DOT and brake system inspections and compliance.
