RoadBuilders Machinery & Supply, a family-owned heavy equipment dealership, is seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic in the Kansas City, KS area. You will perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems across diverse equipment, diagnose issues with current tools, and document work meticulously.

The role emphasizes customer service and safety, with opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a technician repairing and maintaining construction equipment.
• Strong knowledge of engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems with the ability to read schematics/diagrams.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and advanced repair techniques.
• A self-starter who thrives with minimal supervision and demonstrates teamwork in a collaborative shop environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
• Ownership of appropriate tools for the trade.
• Valid driver’s license, high school diploma (or equivalent), and ability to pass background, drug, and MVR checks.
• Able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Able to carry and lift up to 60lbs.
• Occasional travel for training; overnight stays may be required.
