Job summary

G.W. Van Keppel Company in Garden City, KS is seeking a skilled heavy machinery technician for field and shop repair and maintenance.

You will diagnose, repair, and service equipment from customer sites to ensure maximum uptime. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining hydraulic and electrical systems, following safety protocols, keeping accurate repair tickets, and communicating clearly with customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Vocational Training or 2+ years of experience performing heavy machinery mechanical services.
• 2+ years hydraulic, electrical and heavy construction equipment experience; diagnostics tools preferred.
• Must have own set of basic repair tools.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening.
• Possessing or obtaining Class B CDL within 60 days of employment.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Performs machine repair and maintenance services both in the shop and at customer sites
