EquipmentShare in Santa Ana, CA is hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) to maintain and repair a broad range of heavy equipment and aerial lifts. The role focuses on using a tech-driven approach to manage work orders, service intervals, parts procurement, and diagnostics, with on-site training and career growth opportunities.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, with overtime after 40 hours and on-call compensation.

Qualifications

• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Must own tools applicable to position.

Responsibilities

• Create, assign, and monitor work orders using our tech platform.
• Track machine service intervals and diagnose issues quickly.
• Order parts and diagnose issues using data from multiple makes and models.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders).
• Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
