Job summary

EquipmentShare in Reno, NV is seeking a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) to maintain and repair a variety of heavy equipment and aerial lifts. You’ll work with our modern fleet, use tech tools, and contribute to safe, efficient operations at our rental facility.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (7:00 AM–5:00 PM) with overtime opportunities and potential on-call compensation. Prior field service and equipment knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with schematics/diagrams.
• Superior customer service and communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent; trade school certificate preferred.
• Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create, assign, and monitor work orders.
• Track service intervals and diagnose issues.
• Order parts and reference data from multiple makes/models.
• Determine root cause and corrective action.
• Maintain daily documentation of work performed.
• Assist training of junior technicians.
• Assist with pickup/delivery of equipment and parts.
• Follow OSHA requirements (preferred).
• Participate in OEM training year-round.
• Other duties as needed.
