Job summary

EquipmentShare is hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) for our Houston facility. You will maintain and repair a variety of heavy equipment and aerial lifts, using our digital workflows to manage work orders and service intervals. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and providing high-quality service to customers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; trade school certificate preferred.
• Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Use our tech to create, assign, and monitor work orders; track service intervals.
• Order parts and diagnose issues using data from multiple makes/models.
• Maintain safety and quality standards during repairs.
• Maintain complete daily paperwork/electronic work orders.
• Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
• Assist with pick-up/delivery of equipment and parts.
• Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements (preferred).
• Year-round OEM training is provided.
• Other duties as assigned.
