Heavy Equipment Shop Service Technician/Mechanic

Position Overview

Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various brands of equipment efficiently and safely, including parts ordering, technical reporting, and asset care. Effective communication and adherence to safety policies are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Perform shop repairs and maintenance independently
  • Diagnose equipment issues and evaluate repairs
  • Plan repair procedures and communicate additional work needs
  • Maintain a safe work environment and organized workspace
  • Complete documentation accurately and timely
  • Participate in training and maintain shop equipment
  • Exhibit professionalism and promote customer satisfaction
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years’ experience in diagnosing and repairing construction equipment
  • Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics
  • Furnish and maintain personal tools and any special tools required
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and overnight shifts as needed
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL if required
Physical Requirements
  • Lift and carry up to 100 pounds
  • Perform physical activities such as squatting, bending, climbing, and reaching
  • Work in various environmental conditions including extreme heat, cold, and dusty environments
  • Maintain PPE standards and safety protocols
