Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate heavy machinery at a recycling facility, landfill, or transfer station. The role involves transferring, spreading, covering, loading, and compacting waste or soil with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include equipment inspections, monitoring waste quality, routine maintenance, documentation, and adherence to company safety policies.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Ability to follow safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader and other equipment.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and ensure equipment readiness.
• Perform minor maintenance and document service needs.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and report repairs as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area at shift end.
• Perform other duties and support team communications.
