The ideal candidate has 3-5+ years of experience, strong knowledge of excavation, grading, and utility installation, and a proven commitment to safety and reliability on busy job sites across the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia area.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in construction.
• Strong understanding of excavation, grading, and utility work.
• Ability to operate safely in tight or complex environments.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow direction and communicate effectively with crew members.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, and skid steers.
• Perform trenching, grading, and backfilling for underground utility installation.
• Safely excavate around existing utilities and structures.
• Work alongside pipe crews to support installation of water, sewer, and storm systems.
• Maintain proper grades and elevations according to project specifications.
• Read and follow basic plans, grade stakes, and site layouts.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks.
• Follow all company and OSHA safety standards.
