Job summary

HM Staffing is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate construction equipment on job sites, performing earthmoving, trenching, grading, and supporting underground utility and site work projects.

You will read blueprints and site plans, conduct daily equipment inspections, load and unload materials, and coordinate with laborers, foremen and supervisors while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
• Experience in excavation, utilities, or site work preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes, graders, and skid steers.
• Perform trenching and excavation for underground utilities.
• Load and unload materials and equipment.
• Read and follow site plans, grade stakes, and job specifications.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Work closely with laborers, foremen, and supervisors.
• Follow all safety regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
